Since a little girl I have been passionate about art, design and architecture. In the Dominican Republic, where I grew up, I graduated from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra University with a bachelor’s in architecture. In 2013 I moved to Miami to pursue my dream of getting my Master’s in Interior Architecture with a Certificate in Yatch and Cruise ship design from FIU (Florida International University).
I have had the opportunity to work in several architectural and Interior Design firms participating in large commercial and residential projects. With a heavy experienced in Hospitality and corporate environments. I grew my portfolio working in projects such as Hilton hotels, IHG hospitality group, Shell Oil company HQ and Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas.
In 2017, my passion about connecting with the interior Design community began. I joined the IIDA local chapter and started teaching Interior Design courses in the Miami International School of Art and Design in Miami, FL. I connected with the students and learned teaching strategies that now support my mentorship and consultancy skills.
In 2018, I got my NCIDQ certification and became a Registered Interior Design in the State of Florida. This opened new opportunities for the residential and commercial international and local market. Since 2018, I have been consulting independent clients and designers on residential and commercial projects under my company Aida Lora LLC.
